Disposal of packaging

There are specific regulations for the disposal of packaging materials in order to reduce environmental impact and promote the recycling process. For the disposal of packaging materials such as plastic film, cardboard, and paper tape, the following steps must be followed:

  1. remove and separate materials: carefully remove all packaging materials from the barbecue and separate them according to their type - plastic film, cardboard, and paper tape. Make sure to completely remove all materials and eliminate any residues.

  1. Plastic film:
  2. Clean: Remove dust, dirt, and other contaminants from the plastic film before disposing of it.
  3. Separate: Roll up the plastic film and place it in the designated container for plastic waste. In many Italian municipalities, there are special bins for plastic packaging intended for recycling.

  1. Paper cardboard:
  2. Clean: Remove any residues, such as adhesive tape, labels, or dirt, from the cardboard before disposing of it.
  3. Crush or fold: Crush or fold the cardboard box to save space in the recycling container and to facilitate its transport and recycling.
  4. Disposal: place the shredded or folded cardboard in the designated container for paper and cardboard recycling.

  1. Paper tape:
  2. Separate: Remove the masking tape from the cardboard and check that there are no heavy adhesive residues or other contaminants.
  3. Disposal: if the paper tape is clean, it can be disposed of with paper and cardboard waste. If it is contaminated, it must be disposed of with residual waste.

  1. Europallettes:
  2. Inspection: Check that the europallets are not damaged or contaminated. If they are in good condition, they can be reused.
  3. Reuse: return undamaged pallets to the supplier or use them for further transportation and storage purposes.
  4. Recycling: if the pallets are damaged or no longer needed, they can be sold to specialized companies that handle the refurbishment and recycling of pallets. These companies repair or dismantle the pallets and use the wood to make new products.

By following these detailed steps, you will ensure that your barbecue's packaging materials are disposed of and recycled in an environmentally friendly manner. Always pay attention to local regulations and disposal options to ensure that the materials are managed and recycled properly.
